Any firmware update brick x number of "legitimate" devices, either due to random error during the firmware update, or due to damages caused to become detectable by the device firmware update.

Workaround for error 1611:

1 – Change the USB port of the phone is connected. Do not connect the phone yet.

2 – Restart the computer, plug the phone and immediately restart the phone in DFU be connected to the computer.

3 – Hit restore.
