Is there a way to get a background / icons beghind wallpaper on an iTouch / iPhone?

I just got my iTouch and I wonder if you can get a screen, let's say an image behind the icons on the iPod Touch instead of black. Any help? Thanks:]

Hello, I have a iTouch and far I know that you can not. Why? I have no idea! lol … I went to the then General Settings icon and wallpaper wallpaper screen savers only! How annoying! lol … I looked at this when this right. Although yours is much newer than mine. I have a G1. But no, you can not get a Wallpaper page icon in the bottom as far as I know. I hope to help and contact with Apple about adding this to one of the updates for your software! It would be an excellent suggestion!
