Unable to get iPhone ringtones?

That's what I did for one of my ringtones. Not so, click the mp3 file in the field of iTunes and click Get Info. I made the start and end time of about 15 seconds. Then click on the file and click aac obtain the release. Right after the new song and show clicked the Windows Explorer and rename the extension to m4r. They then dragged ringtones and sync without problems. removed before the new file in the music field and clicked on the original song and uncheck the start and stop time. Today I tried to make the ringtone longer (30 seconds) and does not sync at all and now I'm rintone. I tried to follow the same steps and made the ringtone to 15 seconds sync again, but only do what I'm wrong to do? I also prefer not having to download software to create tone if it can be avoided
