When is Apple going to come out with a new or cheaper iPod Touch?

Hi, I really want the iPod touch, but I don’t want to find out two days later after I buy one that they’ve come out with a better or cheaper one. But I know eventually they’re gonna make another one. So is anyone here up to date on the current iPod news?

I haven’t heard that they’re getting any cheaper, only that they os is getting updated.

I don’t know this for a fact, but my opinion is that the technology in a Touch is too sophisticated for the price they charge. I find it hard to believe that there is any profit in the device now. I would be surprised if the price suddenly starts plummeting anytime soon.
