If you buy refurbished iPod?

I just found out that the UK Apple Store also sells refurbished iPod Nano. Apple states "Products repackaged as "owned Apple products that are subject to stringent refurbishment process before Apple offered for sale." What do you think? Is this a good idea to buy this iPod?

I bought my new iPod and I had my hard drive completely die on me after about six months. I took it in the store Apple and got a replacement there on the spot, no questions asked. Replacement is renewed and have not had any problems with it, and it looked like new. So if you buy new or old, once it breaks, you can always get a new case in the warranty.
