i signed up for itunes and cancled in the middle of the process but i keep getting emails from apple?

Okay so i got a new ipod touch, i tried signing up but i had no gift card and i didnt want to give my credit card number either. i typed in my billing adress phone number and everything but i cancled when i found out credit cards were involved. i just want to know why im getting emails from apple saying i registerd when i didn’t

I think you have an account for iTunes now, and if you didn’t give out any credit card numbers you should be fine. You didn’t spend anything but you still have an account. When in the future you want to use a gift card or a credit card on iTunes, you will be able to use that account.
